Zimbabwe Environmental Law Association (ZELA)

The Zimbabwe Environmental Law Association (ZELA) is a non-governmental organisation based in Zimbabwe that focuses on promoting environmental justice, sustainable and equitable use of natural resources, and the protection of environmental rights. ZELA engages in legal advocacy, research, capacity building, and public awareness campaigns to address environmental issues such as mining, land degradation, climate change, and biodiversity conservation. It works towards ensuring that environmental laws and policies are effectively implemented and that communities have a voice in decision-making processes related to natural resource management. ZELA also collaborates with government agencies, civil society organisations, and international partners to advance its objectives and advocate for environmental protection and social justice in Zimbabwe.
